I Carry Your Heart (ee cummings)

I want to pay tribute to some of my favourite poets in the next few months. The poems I want share with you have lifted me during some of my darkest days, or simply given me a sense of hope, and the feeling that I am not alone. I hope they will do the same for you.

I’m busy writing my fourth novel and working on some new poems for you, so I can’t always post my own work. So, until I can, I will turn to the ones I love the most! I hope you enjoy. All of the poets I share will be ones whose work is now in the public domain, so you are free to share them wherever you want – just be sure to let people know who wrote the poem!

Enjoy!

Hi! Thanks for reading and asking about such an important topic which many don’t understand or respect. Some (this poem) or all works by this author are in the public domain in the United States because they were published before January 1, 1924.

The author died in 1962, so works by this author are also in the public domain in countries and areas where the copyright term is the author’s life plus 50 years or less. Works by this author may also be in the public domain in countries and areas with longer native copyright terms that apply the rule of the shorter term to foreign works.
